Child Safety

All Window Coverings

Young children can strangle in pull cords and bead chains.
To avoid entanglement, keep cords and bead chains out of reach of young children.
Move cribs, playpens, cots and furniture away from window covering cords and bead chains.  Children can climb furniture to access the cords/chains.

Roman Blinds with Bead Chains

The tracks I use are from Jones Interiors and are chain release tracks which are child safety compliant as the chain will release when 6kg or more is applied, ensuring the cog stays secure to the control unit and the chain safely falls away.

Also on the bottom rod of each blind is a child safety toggle which the end of the cord goes through.

All tracks and components are tested to British Standards BSEN13120:2009+A1:2014

Please note:

New EU laws state that the cord at the bottom of these toggles can no longer have a knot in them so if the cord needs to be released from the toggle in an emergency it can do so. If a knot is present it will prevent this from happening.
